The singer, however, stated to the news that she is “very keen” to begin creating new music.
Bush told program that she has “lots of ideas” she wants to explore, adding, “I’m really looking forward to getting back into that creative space, it’s been a long time.”
2011 saw the release of the singer’s final new album, the depressing 50 Words for Snow. She has only released live or compilation albums after that time.
As presenter Emma Barnett debuted a new short video she wrote and filmed to raise money for war-affected children, Bush gave her a rare interview.
Set to her 2011 song Snowflake, the four-minute, black-and-white cartoon, Little Shrew, attempts to raise awareness and funds for the nonprofit organization War Child.
“Dark times”
Hits like Wuthering Heights, Hounds of Love, Babooshka, and King of the Mountain are what made Bush famous in 1978.
However, when one of her most popular songs, “Running Up That Hill,” was featured in the Netflix series Stranger Things in 2022, she gained a new following.
“Not at the moment, but I’ve been caught up doing a lot of archive work over the last few years, redesigning our website, putting a lyric book together,” Bush responded when asked if she was working on any new material.
