A significant royal custom is about to be altered by Prince William and Kate Middleton, who want to celebrate Christmas in a “more normal way.”
A royal expert claims that, in keeping with a tradition that dates back to Queen Victoria’s reign, the Prince and Princess of Wales would not exchange gifts on Christmas Eve.
According to royal analyst Jennie Bond, William and Kate may decide not to participate in the customary gift-giving ceremony at Christmas in favor of a “more normal way” to spend the holiday.
According to the expert, the royal family would instead choose a more subdued celebration with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
