Kendrick Lamar has established a new benchmark for rap musicians by reaching a historic milestone on the Billboard 200 chart.
Three of Lamar’s albums have jumped into the top 10 on the Billboards since his performance during the Super Bowl halftime show.
This is the first time a rap artist has held three slots in the top tier at the same time in the chart’s nearly 69-year history.
Lamar’s most recent album, GNX, moved up from No. 4 to the top spot. His 2012 album Good Kid, M.A.A.D City went from No. 27 to No. 10, while his 2017 album DAMN. went from No. 29 to No. 9.
