Since the world learned of his impending exit from the series, Kevin Costner has at last been open about the drama that transpired on the set of Yellowstone.
He provided commentary on everything in a Deadline interview.
He made it clear during that period that there was no truth to the rumors that he had given this project a lower priority since “I made Yellowstone the first priority, and to insinuate anything else would be wrong.”
The series’ leaders themselves chose to start afresh in favor of a split-up fifth season, despite Costner’s claims that he had signed a contract for more than three more seasons.
“I don’t want to get down in the gutter with the Yellowstone thing but what I’m saying,” he was also quoted as saying.
