Comedian and actor Kevin Hart is suing YouTuber Tasha K, claiming that she is being blackmailed.
According to the lawsuit, Tasha K, whose real name is Latasha Transrina Kebe, requested $250,000 from Hart in order to stop a candid interview with Miesha Shakes, his former assistant, from being released.
The Blast was able to get court documents that show Hart sent Kebe a cease and desist letter and declined to pay the six-figure sum.
Shakes is accused in the lawsuit of making false and defamatory remarks about Hart during the interview, including accusations of a sexual encounter that was videotaped and of facing prosecution.

Eventually, the interview—which included claims of adultery and a gambling addiction—was made public on Kebe’s membership website.
In addition to charging Shakes with defamation and violation of contract, Hart is suing Kebe for extortion and invasion of privacy.
Defamation and civil extortion are two of the numerous charges that Kebe’s firm, Kebe Studios LLC, is currently facing.
Hart is not the first to file a lawsuit against Kebe because Cardi B was successful in her defamation case against him last year. The legal disagreement stems from Kebe’s habit of posting defamatory content about celebrities.
