Speaking about Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to the US, former Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri claimed that the meeting with US President Donald Trump did not seem to be friendly.
Photographs taken during the meeting revealed a cold mood, Kasuri said.
He pointed out that Trump had said that Modi would need to buy weapons, oil, gas, and defense equipment from the US, and that China’s involvement in the conflict in Ukraine might be more important than India’s.
Additionally, Trump recommended that India purchase the defense hardware it had previously purchased from Russia from the United States.
Both China and Pakistan have legitimately expressed their worries on Modi’s visit to the US, according to Aamir Zia and Kasuri.
