A rare sighting of a killer whale in the waters off Newport Beach, California, was captured on camera by a whale-watching vessel, The Sun reported on Thursday.
Nine miles offshore, where seven orcas were chowing down on their prey and the unusual killer whale joined them for tea, the sighting was captured on camera.
According to reports, the tour guide said they were excited about the “special encounter” with the four-year-old calf and that they were surprised to see such appearances.
“We got extremely lucky and were able to locate a pod of at least five to seven orcas, one of which was a four-year-old calf named Frosty, after its milky-white appearance,” Captain Dani Fasser explained.
“The killer whales swam directly beneath the boat, captivating the passengers’ attention!”
