Kim Kardashian is being sued by the Donald Judd foundation for allegedly impersonating the late artistic designer in a video that she uploaded to the internet in 2022.
The charity organization claims in the lawsuit that the creator of SKIMS posted a video clip online showing her workplace, in which the social media star informed her millions of followers that the minimalist designer Donald had made the furniture she owned.
In a since-deleted video that YouTube withdrew in response to a federal complaint, the mother-of-four added, “These Donald Judd tables are really amazing and totally blend in with the seats.”
Rather, the estate asserts that the items were created by a business named Clements Design and notes that they were compelled to file a lawsuit against the infringement since the issues could not be settled amicably.
According to Megan Bennigan, the foundation’s attorney, “the Judd Foundation and its president, Rainer Judd (Donald’s daughter), made multiple attempts to address and resolve this matter amicably with Ms. Kardashian prior to litigation, which would have been avoidable had we heard back from either Ms. Kardashian or her counsel.”
