Following the cancellation of appointments due to side effects from cancer treatment, Buckingham Palace said that King Charles is “deeply disappointed” for a major reason.
“The king experienced temporary side effects that required a brief period of observation in the hospital following scheduled and ongoing medical treatment for cancer this morning,” the palace stated.
The monarch “would like to send his apologies to all those who may be inconvenienced or disappointed as a result,” the statement adds.
“His Majesty was due to receive credentials from the ambassadors of three different nations this afternoon,” said the palace.
