Mark Carney, the next prime minister of Canada, was welcomed to Buckingham Palace by King Charles.
Wearing a crimson tie, the King made yet another symbolic display of support for Canada, which is under threat from US President Donald Trump and must communicate by coded signals rather than words.
However, the King has made an effort to demonstrate his dedication to Canada, and the news knows that he would have visited the country in 2024 if it weren’t for his cancer diagnosis.
There are also hints that he would prioritize a visit to Canada when the election is over so he can show his support in person.
