A representative for the National Highway Authority (NHA) stated that a significant landslide near Dolai has caused Kohala Bridge and Muzaffarabad Road to be closed to all forms of traffic.
NHA Chairman Shahriar Sultan said that the main highway should be opened using all available resources. Heavy equipment and NHA employees are hard at work clearing the rubble.
It will take more time to get traffic back on the Muzaffarabad-Kohala road. It is requested that the public avoid passing through Kohala.
When the highway is open for traffic again, the public will be informed by the media, according to an NHA spokesman.
