PESHAWAR: In anticipation of Prince Karim Aga Khan’s funeral on Saturday, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government declared a day of mourning on Friday.
The KP chief secretary has announced that on February 8, the national flag would fly throughout the province at half-mast.
“The KP Chief Minister [Ali Amin Gandapur] has declared a day of national mourning in KP on Saturday, on the occasion of his highness Prince Karim Aga Khan’s funeral, expressing profound grief on behalf of the government and the people of KP on his demise,” the notification stated.
The federal government of Pakistan had declared a day earlier that Saturday.
