After heavy rains caused damage to the popular tourist site, Kumrat Valley in Upper Dir District, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa administration swiftly acted to rescue hundreds of trapped visitors on Saturday.
A few days ago, following heavy downpours, an arterial road was washed away by floods, cutting off the popular tourist spot from the rest of the province and trapping hundreds of visitors in the Kumrat Valley.
Along with the police and district government, 200 visitors were rescued today from Dojangla, Kala Chesma, and Abshar, according to a spokesman for the KP Tourism and Culture Authority.
