After a protracted manhunt, police on Wednesday found Kyle Clifford at the Lavender Hill cemetery in Enfield, north London.
After being transported to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, the 26-year-old is still receiving medical care there.
The way the former security guard was hurt has not been disclosed by the police.
According to the officers, a crossbow was found throughout the course of the investigation.
The victims have been identified as Carol Hunt, 61, the wife of racing pundit John Hunt of Sports and the News, and their two daughters, Hannah, 28, and Louise, 25.
Just before 7 p.m. on Tuesday, they were discovered at a house in Bushey, Hertfordshire’s Ashlyn Close, seriously injured. They passed away soon after.
Crossbows and other weapons were reportedly utilized in the attack, according to police reports in the past.
It was thought that the victims knew Clifford.
