To fight rising air pollution and fog, the Punjab Environment Protection Department has imposed a “green lockdown” in certain parts of Lahore.
The government has identified a number of high-pollution areas, or “hotspots,” in a notification.
Among them are Kashmir Road, Durand Road, Egerton Road, and Davis Road. The regions from Shimla Hill to the Railway Station and Empress Road, as well as the districts surrounding Shimla Hill to Gulshan Cinema and Abbot Road, have also been identified as hotspots.
The high-pollution zones also include Queen Mary Road and the neighborhood around it.
