During her official visit to China, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced a collaboration with Huawei Technologies to build Pakistan’s first cutting-edge smart city in Lahore.
Maryam was welcomed by Huawei representatives when she visited the company’s headquarters in Shanghai’s Longgang District.
She promised complete assistance for the establishment of assembly and manufacturing factories in Punjab and welcomed Huawei to invest there, specifically in the Nawaz Sharif IT City.
She also suggested building retail locations and after-sales support facilities to increase Huawei’s visibility in Punjab.
