On Monday, Lahore will celebrate the Urs of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh as a local holiday.
Pervaiz Akhtar, the CEO of the Lahore DEA, reportedly issued a directive requiring all private schools and academies to stay closed.
Akhtar said that no school in Lahore would be in session on this particular day.
He made it clear that any institution found to be in disobedience of the directive would be sealed.
“To ensure compliance, the committees have been formed to inspect private schools, with over 60 officers assigned to monitor educational institutions across Lahore,” Akhtar stated.
