Over the past three months, Pakistan has gotten $2.3 billion in foreign aid with the goal of stabilizing its economy in the face of financial strains.
According to documents given by sources, the tranche comprises the first tranche of $1 billion from a $7 billion IMF credit program. Other loans from partner countries and international financial institutions came to a total of $1.23 billion.
According to the data, between July and September, Pakistan received $250 million from bilateral friends including China and Saudi Arabia and $482.9 million in loans from international financial institutions.
During this time, Pakistan also received $70 million in grants, indicating its ongoing reliance on outside assistance.
This fiscal year, the government expects to receive $19.39 billion in external aid.
