ISLAMABAD: On Monday, a sizable contingent of attorneys assembled at D-Chowk in Islamabad to document their demonstration against the 26th Amendment to the Constitution.
Riasat Ali Azad, president of the Islamabad High Court Bar Association (IHCA), declared at a joint press conference that the Judicial Commission of Pakistan has rendered some difficult verdicts today.
Six justices were appointed to the Supreme Court at the JCP meeting, which was chaired by Justice Yahya Afridi, the Chief Justice of Pakistan.
The head of the IHCA canceled today’s protest, stating that the attorneys would stage daily demonstrations while the petitions challenging the latest constitutional amendments were being heard.
