In February and March, the Layyah police stepped up their assault on criminal gangs, recovering looted goods valued at over Rs900 million and arresting several offenders.
Layyah DPO Muhammad Ali Waseem gave an account of the operations against the criminals at a press conference held near the police lines. Police teams from the City Police Station, Saddar Police Station, Kot Sultan Police Station, and Pir Jaggi Police Station, according to the DPO, filed 155 cases and retrieved looted goods valued at Rs 257 million from offenders.
57 motorbikes, 25 solar motors, 44 cattleheads, and Rs120 million in cash were among the confiscated goods.
