The former waitress and marketing expert happened onto a social media post just one and a half years ago that called for the next female champion.
It set off a series of events that would propel her from the outskirts of Oban to Aston Martin’s talent search program and ultimately lead to her winning the Formula Woman competition.
According to the 22-year-old, “it’s the most unique story in motorsports,” according to News Scotland.
“I grew up in a very rural environment on a little farm called a croft on Scotland’s west coast. Therefore, it’s quite strange for me and my family to think that I would have been a race car driver for the past two years.”
