ISLAMABAD The top leadership of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Thursday referred to Pakistan as their main priority and threw their weight behind the talks with treasury benches for the country’s benefit, given the security and economic issues facing the cash-strapped nation.
The incident occurred as the party created by Imran Khan prepared to present its “charter of demands” during the next session, which is anticipated to take place within the next week. In an effort to ease the nation’s ongoing political tensions, the two parties have met twice, on December 23 and January 2.
Ali Amin Gandapur, the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), told reporters in Islamabad that “Pakistan is [our top] priority and [we] will hold talks for [the sake of] it.”
