Thursday marks the fifth anniversary of the passing of popular TV and film actor Abid Ali, and his fans mark this day as a memorial.
1952 saw his birth in Quetta. Abid Ali started his career on Radio Pakistan before relocating to Lahore to pursue acting.
The renowned actor starred in a number of TV shows and motion pictures. He was shown appreciation by being given the Pride of Performance award in 1985.
Acknowledged for his adaptability, Abid Ali has left his mark on a number of legendary drama serials, such as Jhok Siyal, Zanjeer, Waris, Dasht, and others.
Among his most recent works are Bunty, I Love You, Diyar-e-Dil, Aangan, Dil Kiya Karey, and the drama serials Mera Rab Waris and Ramz-e-Ishq.
