Sanam Javed, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has been exonerated by the Lahore High Court in a lawsuit concerning the events that transpired in Gujranwala on May 9. This is the most recent case in which Sanam Javed has been cleared of all charges against her or given bail.
Sanam Javed’s case was considered by a two-member bench made up of Justices Asjad Javed Gharal and Ali Zia Bajwa.
Sanam Javed’s attorney, Mian Ashfaq, contended that this was her attorney’s eleventh case against her, and that in every other case, she had either been released on bond or had her charges dismissed. He said that Gujranwala was the victim of a political scheming scheme and said the case against her was fabricated and without merit.
As a result, he asked the court to overturn the order to remove her from the case and place her under physical remand.
The state prosecutor’s arguments were insufficient to persuade the court.
If Sanam Javed been mentioned in any other cases, the bench asked. The state prosecutor attested to the fact that she was the subject of no prior cases.
In the Gujranwala case dated May 9, the court decided to release Sanam Javed after taking into account all of the arguments.
