Liam Lawson will officially join Max Verstappen as a teammate for the 2025 Formula 1 season, according to Red Bull Racing. After Sergio Perez recently left Red Bull’s youth squad, RB, the 22-year-old New Zealander was promoted to take his position.
“Being named an Oracle Red Bull Racing Driver is a lifelong dream for me,” Lawson said, expressing his joy. Since I was eight years old, I have desired and strived for this. He acknowledged the influence of his recent races on his preparation for this momentous moment in his career and thanked the VCARB crew for their support.
The teenage driver, who has already competed in 11 Grands Prix, replaced Daniel Ricciardo, who was injured.
