A day after her husband, Charlie McDowell, addressed criticism regarding their choice to utilize a surrogate, actress Lily Collins posted the first picture of herself with her newborn baby, Tove.
An Instagram photo of McDowell pushing a stroller while out for a walk was reposted by the Emily in Paris actress.
Collins was wearing dark leggings and a maroon long-sleeve blouse; her face was hidden in the picture, which she captioned “Utter bliss.”

The couple’s happy news, however, elicited conflicting responses on the internet.
Their decision was also criticized by a number of social media users, who accused wealthy individuals of “renting women’s bodies” and likened surrogacy to “human trafficking.”
