According to a schedule released on Thursday, Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami will host the New York City Football Club (NYCFC) in the first game of the 2025 Major League Soccer (MLS) season.
Despite leading Inter Miami to the greatest MLS record the previous season, the 37-year-old Argentine star’s team lost to Atlanta in the first round of the playoffs.
Between the team’s legs of a CONCACAF Champions Cup series versus Kansas City on February 18 and 25, Miami will play their first home game against NYCFC on February 22.
Messi and his colleagues will travel to San Jose, Houston, and Minnesota from the Western Conference in addition to playing their Eastern Conference foes.
Dallas, a foe of the West, will be entertained by the David Beckham-owned football team.
