Actress Lisa Kudrow has criticized its use of AI-driven digital de-aging technology, calling it “an endorsement for AI.”
Deadline claims that during her appearance on the Armchair Expert podcast, Kudrow expressed her worries about the potential effects of this technology, especially in view of the recent SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, which brought attention to the necessity of regulating AI in the entertainment sector.
“They shot it, and they could actually shoot the scene and then look at the playback of them as younger, and it’s ready for them to see,” Kudrow said in reference to this.
