According to Dr. Luke Evans, the MP for Bosworth, Leicestershire, he received two separate WhatsApp numbers in March “who claimed to know me.”
He claimed to be the victim of cyberflashing and harmful communications in a Facebook message, and he came out by alerting the police and parliamentary authorities as soon as this occurred.
Mr. Evans stated: “I received a single, explicit photo of a naked woman on WhatsApp one day while I was with my wife. That was the first set of messages I received.” I reported it to the chief whip, the authorities, and the police as soon as I received these the following day.
Ten days later, I received another set of messages. Fortunately, this time, I was seated with my team in the constituency office, allowing us to record the exchange and capture images and videos of the messages—including one more explicit picture of a woman—as they came in.
