On Friday, French President Emmanuel Macron expressed his outrage over the shooting of more than 100 Palestinians seeking humanitarian supplies in Gaza, demanding “truth and justice” about the conduct of Israeli soldiers in the tragedy.
According to Gaza health officials, Israeli soldiers killed over 100 Palestinians on Thursday while they were waiting for an aid delivery. Israel blamed the killings on crowds surrounding assistance trucks, claiming victims were trampled or run over.
“I’m outraged by footage from Gaza showing Israeli soldiers targeting civilians. “I strongly condemn these shootings and call for truth, justice, and international law,” Macron wrote on X.
He stated that it was necessary for immediate ceasefire in the war to be put in place.
