LONDON: The UK Parliament honored renowned Pakistani actress Mahira Khan for her outstanding contributions to international film and her function as a cultural ambassador.
The award ceremony, which acknowledged Mahira’s influence on women’s empowerment and cross-party parliamentary support, was hosted by UK Member of Parliament Afzal Khan and took place in the House of Commons.
Mahira talked about her profession and expressed gratitude to a number of individuals in her life who have contributed to her extraordinary career advancement. Mahira, who was born into a Pashtun family in Karachi, said she went to a private school before coming to the US to study at Santa Monica College and then the University of Southern California.
