Mahmood Khan Achakzai, the chairman of the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP), has encouraged the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to delay its planned civil disobedience campaign.
Achakzai, the president of the opposition alliance Tehreek Tahafuz Ayeen-e-Pakistan (TTAP), emphasized the value of communication with the administration in order to address the nation’s urgent problems in an interview with the News on Saturday.
Achakzai emphasized that a clear plan for the government’s transition should be the main topic of discussion. He stated, “There is nothing greater than using discussion to overcome issues. However, the movement must continue if negotiations are unsuccessful.
He added that if talks are successful, elections ought to be held in four months. Achakzai added that, at the PTI’s invitation, he would go to Peshawar tomorrow to pray.
