Under the guise of a hitchhiker, a lady in Karachi’s Korangi neighborhood—which still has high rates of street crime—robbed a guy at gunpoint.
The incident happened on Friday night when a biker was flagged down near Singer Chowrangi by an older woman with a face veil.
In the victim’s complaint, it states that he agreed to take her home after accepting her request for a ride, but instructed her to get off at Korangi No. 5. When he got off, the woman demanded his possessions and produced a revolver from her handbag, pointing it at his chest.
The victim cooperated and turned over his cell phone along with Rs 5,000 in cash. After that, the woman and her friends took off on two motorcycles, with the accomplices following behind.
