Margot Robbie recently shared her thoughts about Lady Gaga’s portrayal of Harley Quinn.
Following the singer’s signing to reprise the famous character in the upcoming sequel Joker: Folie à Deux, the Barbie star offered her thoughts.
During the Golden Globe Awards 2024 pre-show, Margot responded to a question about Lady Gaga’s upcoming version by saying, “Oh my god, she’s going to crush it,” per Variety. Are you serious? I am really excited to see her; she is going to be incredible.”
The host questioned the Australian actress about whether or not she spoke with the Telephone hitmaker about the character of Harley Quinn in the 2016 film Suicide Squad.
Actually, I haven’t discussed anything with her. I’m on the verge of wanting to keep it a surprise.The actor-producer expressed her happiness at other performers expressing interest in portraying the character in a 2022 interview with MTV.
“It makes me so happy because I said from the very beginning, all I want is for Harley Quinn to be one of those characters, the way Macbeth or Batman always gets passed from great actor to great actor,” Margot stated at the time.
