As rivalry in the global technology sphere continues to compel major titans to roll out new features to keep ahead of rivals, Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta has ordered its developers to make their new social media platform Threads, also known as ‘Twitter Killer’, more user-friendly.
Meta established Threads to compete with Elon Musk’s platform X, formerly known as Twitter, after the tech tycoon implemented controversial alterations that deterred users.
These tactics included collecting fees for confirmed blue checkmarks, which are an indication of validated information and were endangered by the move.
Facebook’s parent firm has stated that it would add a new “Trending Now” link to one of Thread’s sections.
On X, we may view trending topics by clicking the search box, and the leading topic of debate is listed below. Thread’s perspective on the part is somewhat similar to X.
If you’ve seen X’s Trending section, Threads implementation is similar.
Meta originally tested the functionality in February, noting that the subjects would be shown based on the algorithm and that people’s interactions would not be customized.
