When Taylor Swift made her an offer in 2015, Mary J. Blige revealed her “shocked” response.
The Just Fine singer opened up about her recollections of Swift in an interview with People.
“To inform you of how it transpired,” the Umbrella Academy actress said. “I got a call from Taylor.”
Blige was given the opportunity to sing a duet with the Blank Space singer at her fourth performance, The 1989 World Tour, in 2015.
She recalled how she felt when she received the offer, saying, “She was like, ‘I want you [to come on tour].'” I was surprised. “Oh, Taylor Swift likes Mary J. Blige?” I thought.
Swift’s songs Doubt and Family Affair of Blige featured the singers’ performances.
