On Tuesday, the Airport Security Force (ASF) of Karachi effectively stopped a heroin smuggling attempt at Jinnah International Airport.
A representative for the ASF stated that during a regular examination, Muhammad Shoaib, a passenger, was discovered to have 1.2 kg of heroin concealed in his luggage.
Personnel from the ASF moved quickly to seize the illegal narcotics and stop the attempt at smuggling. The accused was turned over to the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) for additional legal proceedings, along with the drugs that had been recovered. On the global market, the heroin that was found is thought to be worth millions of dollars.
The matter is still being looked into by the authorities.
