Punjab Colony residents in Karachi have been protesting long-term power and water outages by taking to the streets, severely disrupting traffic in the area.
Both of the local roads have been blocked by protestors, causing traffic jams and delays for those commuting to work this morning.
There have been reports of lengthy car lines on Mai Kolachi Road, Boat Basin, Teen Talwar, and Do Talwar as a result of the protests.
In order to minimize inconvenience, traffic police have encouraged the public to take alternate routes.
In the meantime, protests against local power outages are being held by inhabitants of Railway Colony, which is close to II Chundrigar Road and Shaheen Complex.
Traffic from MR Kayani Chowk to SM Law College and Jang Press, as well as from Khajoor Chowk to Aiwan-e-Sadar Road, has been redirected by traffic police.
