After his father, Kent Damon, passed away, Matt Damon talked of a really moving dream he experienced that connected him to one of his first recollections of him.
In an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the Oppenheimer star talked about his “crazy dream” about his father, who passed away in 2017 from multiple myeloma, a rare blood cancer.
The Hollywood star recounted his dream, saying, “I had this crazy dream within that year after my father passed away in 2017.” He further said, “He came to me in a dream, and he embraced me.”
“And the feeling I experienced was the sensation of what it was, which I believe is similar to my first memory.
“All I knew was that he was there and that I was feeling that embrace,” Damon went on. And that made me realize it was probably one of the first things I realized as my consciousness began to activate.”
When Damon hosted Saturday Night Live, he spoke about his late father on the first anniversary of his passing and recalled how important the show was to them both.
