NOWSHERA: Maulana Hamid-ul-Haq Haqqani, the vice administrator of Darul Uloom Haqqania and the emir of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Sami (JUI-S), was buried on Saturday following his martyrdom in a suicide explosion the previous day.
After funeral prayers that were attended by former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor Ghulam Ali, former Jamaat-e-Islami chief Sirajul Haq, Afghan counsel general Mushtaq Ahmed, and numerous academics and students, Maulana Hamid, son of the late Maulana Sami-ul-Haq Haqqani, was buried at the seminary next to his father.
Shortly after Friday prayers concluded at the Darul Uloom Haqqania mosque in Akora Khattak, a suicide attack claimed the lives of at least seven additional individuals in addition to Maulana Hamid, and injured eighteen more.
