The re-release of actress Mawra Hocane’s first Bollywood film, Sanam Teri Kasam, has made an impact at the Indian box office just days after she married actor-model Ameer Gillani.
The Indian Express reports that within two days of its re-release, Sanam Teri Kasam, the 2016 film starring Mawra and directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, had topped its previous box office profits.
With Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra in the lead roles, the movie brought in between 30 and 32.5 million Indian rupees (roughly Rs96 and 104 million) domestically on Monday, bringing its total to INR 185 million (roughly Rs595 million). In 2016, it brought in INR 90 million (roughly Rs289 million).
