Following a serious reaction to injections, the Punjab Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department has taken action against three nurses who worked at the Mayo Hospital Chest Ward.
The nurses were instructed to report to the department right away after receiving show-cause warnings from the department.
Nurses Nazia Hassan, Sunaina Khalid, and Hafiza Saima Sahar received the notices, which accused them of being careless in the injection solution’s preparation.
The notification claims that 16 patients in the Chest Ward experienced an unpleasant reaction as a result of their claimed negligence. The nurses have been ordered to submit a written response within seven days.
