The Sindh Health Department has said that the new Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) will take place on December 8, clearing up any confusion.
According to Meeran Yousuf, spokesperson for the Sindh health minister, “[MDCAT] will take place on December 8 through Sukkur Institute of Business Administration (IBA).”
This comes after an investigating team found that the entire MDCAT administered by Dow University was corrupted at every level, leading the Sindh High Court to order the retaking of the exam in October.
Pleas against the MDCAT’s anomalies and paper leak led to the order. On the basis that the test results were polluted by the paper leak, the petitioners, who had taken the MDCAT, had contested their validity.
