In her most recent Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex reprimanded her friend Mindy Kaling for referring to her as “Meghan Markle,” stating, “You know, I’m Sussex now.” Additionally, in a recent appearance with The Drew Barrymore Show, she disclosed the shift.
Insiders have now disclosed Meghan’s motivation for moving. The news was informed by a royal source that “it’s clearly a warning shot.”
According to the insider, Meghan is highlighting her relationship to the Sussex title even if she has resigned from her royal obligations.
