According to reports, Meghan Markle made strong demands to move into Windsor Castle in order to live on par with Princess Kate.
Apartment 1A at Kensington Palace was given to Prince William and Princess Kate by the queen before to their marriage. In the meantime, as their Netflix documentary series revealed, Prince Harry and Meghan resided in a cottage in Nottingham.
While William and Kate’s twenty-room apartment included three kitchens, two nurseries, and an elevator, the cottage only had two bedrooms. The massive flat is divided into four levels.
Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, made every effort to secure a nicer residence at Windsor Castle because she desired “something of similar value,” according to royal analyst Kinsey Schofield, who spoke with News

According to Schofield, Meghan wanted to “share space with the Queen,” but her demands were turned down time and time again because Windsor Castle was open to the public.
