KARACHI: Karachi’s weather has grown hot five days into Ramadan, and the temperature is expected to rise further over the next 24 hours, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Saturday.
The Met Office has expected hot and dry weather for the next 24 hours, with temperatures as high as 34 degrees Celsius.
The lowest recorded temperature over the last 24 hours was 18.5°C.
According to the Met Office, the current weather intensity is due to the air’s low humidity level of 41%.
Typically, March is a warmer month in the city, but the weather had been cool due to heavy rain at the beginning of the month.
Karachi had severe rainfall and thunderstorms on March 1, and the city was hit by a cold wave.
Later, on Sunday, light rain and drizzle made the weather in the port city more agreeable.
