According to Radio Catalunya’s Barca Reservat, Lionel Messi of Argentina will make his comeback to the storied FC Barcelona by attending the 125th anniversary gala celebrations.
At the age of 13, the renowned football player began his career by enrolling in the La Masia program. Despite having growth issues, he made his senior debut in 2004 against Espanyol at the age of 17.
According to Goal.com, Messi scored 672 goals for Barcelona over his 17 years there, making him the team’s greatest player and one of the greatest football players of all time.
His tenure at Barcelona came to an end in 2021 when the Catalan team’s financial difficulties became unmanageable and the club declined to extend the Argentine’s contract.
