While providing some respite from the heat and causing disturbances to daily life, the monsoon rains are still pelting different parts of Punjab and Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
Lahore has continued to see sporadic rainfall, with clouds enveloping the city in the early hours of the day. Significant locations, such as Mall Road, Jail Road, and Dharampura, have received light rain.
As breezes picked up, the severe heat that had been engulfing Lahore subsided and the city’s weather became more temperate. In Lahore, there is a 60% chance of rain today, according to the Met Department.
But there have also been issues brought on by the intense rain, namely with the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) transmission system. More than ten feeders tripped, causing extended power disruptions in a number of locations. On Jail, the greatest reported rainfall was 25 mm.
