Due to security concerns, the district administration of Islamabad has declared that the Metro Bus service will be suspended in the city until Friday.
According to the administration, the temporary service suspension is a component of increased security measures, and delegates from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting are still returning to their home countries.
The district administration announced in a statement that the feeder routes’ buses that are linked to the Metro Bus service will likewise be discontinued.
To guarantee the visiting dignitaries’ smooth and safe passage, the Metro Bus service has been suspended.
Before, the government had declared a thorough traffic schedule for Rawalpindi and Islamabad in preparation for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting, which is scheduled to take place from October 14–16.
