The organization’s director general, Ken McCallum, made a broad address in which he stated that “Putin’s henchmen” and “plot after plot” from Iran pose a greater threat to Britain.
He disclosed that an increasing number of kids in the UK are being looked at for possible terrorist connections.
According to Mr. McCallum, “the trend that concerns me most [is] the worsening threat from Al Qaeda and in particular from Islamic State,” it coincides with the resurgence of Islamic terrorism.
He continued, “They’ve resumed efforts to export terrorism after a few years of being pinned well back.”
